GR RACE AMA GAD ~ 25(kc Grand Prix Series: Round 5 Nick Ienatseh (24) leads Brad Sawyer (74) an d Rick Kirk (39) in their battle for second. Jimmy Filice was a happy man after winning his fust race since the 1988 U.s. GP. Filice back on form at Mid-Ohio things as he set o u t aft er Walk er, bringing Mik e Su lli van and Kirk with him. By th e nimh lap, th e race for seco nd was a five-rider co nfro nta tio n. Just wh en it appeared that Ienatsch and Kirk had made a break from th e o the rs, Walker a nd Sawyer struck back. But it was th e Radd-backed Sawyer who was doin g the m ost da mage, and he moved past Kirk on the fin al goaro und 10 finis h th ird, his best fin ish of the season. Kirk had to sett le for fourth, the Oklah oma rider still hav ing problem s gett in g to speed during q ualifyin g and th us feel in g th e effects o f not havin g th e bi ke set u p correctly for th e pace he la ter wen t in the race. " It rea lly wen t my way," Filice said. " I did n 't know if th ose guys had a n ything more or not. Everybody is riding really well. It feels rea lly, rea lly good to win again."
