Yearsley dominates Las Vegas MX By Dick Goodwin LAS VEGAS, NV, MAY 18 Greg Years ley made sur e his trip to LasVegas paid off as he do mi nated the 80cc Modi fied division at Las Vegas MX Pa rk. Jerry Aleman a nd Reginald Mi tchell led off the first go- 'round, but Yearsley who had gated thi rd, po wered his way into second by the Kam ikaze hill. At the ha lfway po int , he had m uscled pas t Alema n for th e lead . Loca l ace Jason Partridge, Yearsley's toughest foe, was on the move, bu t Year sley was enjoying a hu ge lead. It too k Partridge three lap s to fight h is way into second, then he set off after Yearsley. For th e rem a in der of the rac e Par tridge closed o n Yearsley, but he sti ll wo n the race by.severa l bi ke len gth s. Partridge stole the holesho t in mo to two , just ahead of Aleman's Su zuki. Yearsley was 10 third again but quickl y elbo wed hi s way into the lead. Once again , Partridge was doing the chasing. The two leaders pulled away and raged around th e track for the rem ai nde r of the race , bu t the finish result was the sam e as the first round: Yearsley, Partridge and Aleman. The Pros were also com peting o n the brand new track, which stayed du st-free the entire day.
