The two were at it neck a nd neck until Gad dis was finally able to pull away th ro ug h th e whoops. During th e seco nd lap, G addis and Butto n were side by side o ver th e triples. wi th Button hitting the comer firs t an d pulling away from G addis through the S-curve. As Button came ou t of the tur n. he go t o ut of shape and endoed, Alt hough he didn 't [all , he pulled out of th e race with a dis located shou lder, leavin g Gaddis to score a n easy victory . Gaddis jum ped o ut to an ear ly lead in the firs t 250cc Pro moto, but Button, injured shou lder and a ll , slow ly led i nto second puttin g some real pressure on the leader. O n th e last lap Gaddis took the last comer a lit tle too wide. leavi ng Bu tton a chance to shut the d o o r . b ut the spli t second opportuni ty d isappeared, a. Ga ddis grabbed the ear ly lead in th e second mo ta , Ap parently unhi ndered by the inj ured shou lder this time , Bu tton never let up an d haunted Ga ddis , Button eventually hit an insid e cu rve ju st a sp li t second ahead ol Gaddis and stole the lead.
