The last time G reg Rand raced the Schoolboy class at Muddy Creek, he dominated o n h is Kaw asak i KX80. Th is ti me he dominat ed the Schoolboys on a KX I25, and he smo ked the 125cc B class as well with perfect scores for each moto. Rand cleared the gate in second behind Harold Coagar in the first 125cc B moto , but pulled ahead coming dow n th e staircase and proceeded 10 leave the pa ck behind. H uffstetler foll ow ed Rand out of the ga te, with Chad Pitt running interference between him and Merri ck. However . by th e end of the third circui t. Merri ck had dispatched bo th Pitt and Huffstetler. to fini sh 15 seconds behind Rand. Merr ick was abo ut 10 seconds in fro n t o f Huffstetler.
