t was the biggest race of the year-the U.S. Grand Prix, round three . of the World Championship. And all the best bike makers in the world brought their stuff to Laguna Seca International Speedway. With each manufacturer sending out their top riders to give it their best. But it happened again. Wayne Rainey took what they sent out and stuffed it right back up their exhaust. Making 1991 his third consecutive win at Laguna Seca in the 500cc class. The competition was tough. And we wish we could say that it was a fight to the finish. Or that it came down to the line. But it wasn't. And it didn't. Because right on turn three Rainey hit the gas and left the competition standing still. So what did you expect. Rainey was riding a Yamaha. But in the end, it really doesn't matter if we win or lose. Because we take what was learned from the track and put it into building a better bike.
