A coalition o f recreation a nd industry organizations urged Congress to in cor~rate th e National Recreational Trails Fund Act (H I 150) into legislation reauthori zin g th e fed er al Highway Trust Fund. In testimony before a H ouse subcommittee on Ap ril 18, Roy Muth, head o f the American Recreation Coalition's trails task force, descr ibed th e need for legislation to cha n ne l federal gasol in e tax monies to trails. In response to letters from con~erned motorcycli sts, Burroughs Wellcome Co., maker of Sudafed brand nasal de congestant, has discontinued its Sudafed television commercial portraying a near co ll isio n between a motorcycle and a ca r d r iver. The motorcyclist th en suffered that side-effect while rid ing and steered into the path of an o nco m ing car.
