eCROSS COUNTRY e AMA Wiseco/Yamaha/Yokohama Grand National Cross Country Series: Round 3 Four-ti me Na tio nal Enduro Cham p ion T erry Cunningham won his first National Cross Country event since 1985. McSwain sli p ped as far back as sixth before fin ish ing fou rth overall , wh ich earned him the O pen A class win. Rick Parsons' sole sponsor is Mid State Marina, which was perfect considering the conditions at Boyer. The Four-Stroke A Honda rider bettered World of Wheels' Tracy Warrington and Ohio's Gary Roach for the class win. The runaway Senior A class winner was Joe Lojak, a 42-year-old Yamaha . 250WR rid er who finished an impressive 18th overall. Lojak completed all six laps on his way to the win. A pair of West Virginians, Dave Coombs, Sr. and Joseph Hull, followed Lojak in the Senior A group. A three-way battle developed for the Vet A class victory, but 30-year-old Ho nda rider Jeff Murgel established a three-minute lead late in the race to capture his first class win of the GNCC Series. He also climbed all the way up into the 12th overall position, one spot better th a n Vet class r unner-up Tommy Harr is. In the Junior Vet divis ion, Fox / Bo yesen / Yok o ha ma/ FMF/ Cern ic's- . su pported Davey Coombs picked up his second win of the series aboard a Suzuki R MX250. Yamaha riders John Vincent and Dave Santi finished less than a minute behind the leader with Lineman Cycle/Yokohama-backed Vincent earning runner-up honors. Louis Dearman bettered fe llow KTM rider Sam Dyke to earn the O pen B class victory. T he Honda of Mark Pahanish led the 250cc B class at the finish while Yamaha-mounted Jeff Lowery finished second. Todd Morain topped fellow CR125 rider Micke y Frantz to earn the 200cc B class victory while Mike Treadway outran Ivan Thompson for the FourStroke B win. North Carolina's Man ley Bradshaw led the Vet B class wh ile Suzuki-mounted James Seibert headed up the Sen ior B group.
