eROADRACE e World Championship Road Race Series: Round 2 "Everything was goi ng so well. Then I heard a no ise from the engine, and . rat her than risk a seizure an d a crash whi ch might put the whole 250 p roject in jeopard y, I decided to pull into th e pits. I th ough t it might have been a big end, and it was best to stop. ". Cad alor a was pl eased with hi s last lap tactic: "I was very happy to get a good stan after having so many bad ones in the past. But it was not easy because Helmut was faster than me at first and when I overtook him I found it impossible to get awa y alone so I waited until the final lap. Even then I was not reall y confident of winning, but I knew I had to leave my move until the last moment. " Bradl was visibl y disappointed in finishing second for the sixth time in his career as he still awaits his first ever GP win. "It's better to get second six tim es than get nothing at all and th ere are still 13 races to go , so ma ybe there is still time to win one this year," he said. " I knew from about the eigh th lap that Luca was going to leave hi s pas s until the last lap and I just braked a little too early at the end of the stra ig ht. My problem was a sligh t mi stake with gearbox ratio setti ngs." Cardus said tha t once he got separated from the lead ers at th e stan, he rea lized that th ird was the best he could hope for.
