'A t the feverish pace of 98.67 1 miles per hour, Kevin Schwantz emerged with a healthy win in the Grand Prix season
opener at Suzuka, Japan.

It was a horly contested race. When the dust had cleared, only .556 of a second separated first and fourth places . Kevin
got the checkered flag by just .204 of a second.
Of course, Kevin's no stronger to the winners' circle. This is his third first-place finish at Suzuka in the last four years. It's
also his 14th career victory in only 3. 1/2 seasons.
