The Bakersfield Ra cers Association
(BRA) recen tly lost one of its most
valued riders to an all too well known
virus called pneumo nia. His name was
Shawn Leipold. Shawn ach ieved ma ny
victories throughout his raci ng career,
and he was one of th e nicest and most
considerate racers who ever graced a
race track.
Shawn went o ut a winner in every
aspect of the word. He was and will
always be remembered as the 1990 BRA
Track Champi on in th e O pen Veteran
Amateur TT class,
Our hearts go o ut to his fami ly an d
friends. He will tru ly be missed by all
who kn ew him. If ·there is a racer's
heaven, then Shawn is most likely 'still
in the winner's circl e! May he race in
peace. We love you , Shawn.
