Asher, who had battled fiercely for
second up to the fin ish.
Gaspar had it a little toughei in the
250cc Novice cla ss as he got tangled
in the second turn sh ort of moto one
and ran o ver a downed rider and
machine. Ga spar started his charge
from 20th while Kevin Wise was way
out front. Rich Alves held on to second
to the fini sh in front o f Mike Scott and
Gaspar; who comp leted an amazing
charge from near last to fourth.
Gaspar too k a runaway victory in
the second moto and was never challenged throughout th e race. Wise ran .
second for most of the moto but was
pas sed by Scott late in th e race. Wise
bobbled more than once during the
final lap but hung on to third and the
overall win .
Joey Cirocco powered his T .R.E.prepared Yamaha to a pair of holesh o ts
and two well earned mo to wins in th e
125cc Beginner class. Cirocco was cha llenged d uring the final laps of the first
moto by Brad Schultz but was successfu l in fending him 0[[ to the finish.
'Sch ultz again applied major pressure to Cirocco during the opening
laps of the second moto, but he went
too far and fell, losing any opportunity
for the win. Cirocco ripped away to
the moto and overa ll victory while
Schultz rem ounted to fin ish second in
front of Mark Blakl ey. Cirocco a lso
finished fifth o n a borrowed Yamaha
in the 250cc Beginner class.
