HMOTOCROSS·NGKlCMC Golden State Nationals:FinaI round m Rex Staten (1) grabbed the holeshot in the first 500cc Pro moto, but Surratt (23) and Healey (I) quickly passed him. Staten faded to seventh at the finish. Dave Coupe (4) led Jim Ellis (3), Broc Glover (hidden) and Staten (1) in the Vet Pro class. Glover roosted into the lead and ran away with bo th motos. Jimmy Varis won the 60cc (9.11) class title and finished second in two. others. The 250cc Intermed iate. class was a Michael Br and es show. The PVK Kawa saki rider stormed to bo th moto victories, fig h ting off the cha rges of Danny Nelso n in th e first moto a n d Ste ven Kotaja rvi in th e seco n d ro u nd.
