Together the Honda teammates have dominated the series, winning each round. Bayle, who many have picked to displace Sta n ton for the ti tle this yea r, leads the battle with three wi ns to Stanton's two. Why have these two gotten off to suc h a good sta rt? Both beli eve it 's th eir Hondas and desire to win. . . , :, "We're two good riders all two good bi kes," says Bayle. "We have diffe rent techniques bUI they work well with the bike." . '" don't know if they (the competition) aren't working as hard or if our bikes are that much bett er," says Stanton. " O ur bikes ar e good, we've worked hard on them. P lus Bayle wants to win his first title and' want to win another." Even Yamaha' s Damon Bradsh aw, o ne of the few riders to run a t the front with Stan ton and Ba yle, agrees. " Those guys wa nt 10 win ," he says. '" feel as strong, it's just a matter of being there at th e right time. Ba yle is riding strong, but everybody can be beat." A
