Jon Bro wer (52) and Gordon Keller (46) a rg u ed over position in the 80cc Beginner class. In the 250cc Novice class , G aspar ran at the front for mos t of th e firs t rn o to unti l a bent shift lever slowed h im in th e late stages of the race. Petch el closed rapidly but suffered a similar fate when he wrapped th e' sh ifter lever aroun d the footpeg. N ick Morgan capitalized on the situa tion, passed Petchel and pursued Gaspar right to th e fin ish. G aspa r managed to hang tough for the win. Petchel ran off with the secon d moto while G aspar worked through the pack. Gaspar lost lo ts o f time wi th J osh Rolfe eventually making a p ass la te in the moto, G aspar di d close on Petchel on th e last lap a n d almost made a lastditch pass, bu t Petchel held on for th e rnoto win. David L yn ch loc ked up th e Vet Intermed iat e titl e a fter two hard fought motos an d a twisted knee. L yn ch took a n easy win in th e first moto over Dave Sarian, who charged from ne ar last a n d passed Olson and Robert She ldo n for ' secon d n ear th e rnoto 's end. Both Olson a n d Sh eld on crossed lines inches in front o f th e checkered flag. Sh eldon re mou nted first a n d sprinted to th e flag for third ov er Olson .
