J oey Cirocco borrowed a Kawasaki and worked to third in both motos but was well off the pace of the lead ers. Jim Peters and Ron Sharp tra ded positions and ro unded out the top five. T eam Green rider Brian Deega n battled th ro ughou t both 125cc Intermediate motos with rider Rya n J ohnson. J oh nson led most of both motos o nly to have Deegan squirt by late in bot h rno tos. Den n is Dah lin II , Randy Danylo and Todd Davis co m p leted the top five. Bill y Felts was stro nge r then ever in both 125cc Intermedia te di vision two a nd 250cc Inter med iate clas s firs t motos, but hi s second mo tos in both classes p roved di sa st erous . Fe lts crashed o ut of co n ten tion in bo th seco nd motos, hand ing the overall victory to Sean Pagel, who was the ru nn er-up to Felts in' both first rno tos. Pagel's pair of victori es fortified hi s po ints lead in both clas ses. Bobb y avarro topped th e 125cc Beginner divi sion o ne class after two motos fill ed of passing and lead changes. In the first mo to, Joe Fernandez cras hed in th e firs t turn, while Navarro got st uc k be hind the fall en r ider. T ogether they charged for the fro nt of the pack. J ohn Turner, Brad Schu ltz and teve Ful gh am ran in the top th ree spots fo r most· of the first rnoto, On the fina l la p the sparks flew as Ferna ndez and [avarro joined the fron trunn ers, wi th Sc hu ltz riding very defen sive no t willi ng to give in . Schultz and Navarro were in a fierce battle for second th at pushed Navarro into th e lead two turns from the fini sh , wh ich h e held to t he checkered £lag. Fernandez contro lled the early part of th e second I25cc Beginner mo to bu t cras hed ou t of the top 10a t the halfway point, Schu ltz p icked up the lead and held it for the mot o win, Na varro fini sh ed seco nd followed by Brian CN Ratliff.
