" I thought I was go ing prett y good," said j orgen sen . " But I won 't do th e doubles." _ " f l .. y . '-"/ ..... The seco nd moto saw j orgensen off to the races with th e former Bultaco ace, Zahrt, once again, having to make up time . As the Yamaha rider, Zah rt, came up on Wood , he doubled by, but grazed the Kawasaki rider and partially cased his Yamaha, and despi te his best efforts, Zahrt co u ld n ot reel in j orgensen . jorgensen won with a 2-1 tally, while Zahrt was not happy about taking second. Blood got by Wood in both rnot os for third overa ll with Wood fourth over Rich Collins, Irv Achziger and j erry Brand t. The Ol d T imer Expert show was ex citin g with Ri ch T horwal dson winning but o n ly aft er a tremendous comeback after falling in the second moto. Larry Hartnett grabbed second pla ce over Steve Machado. Mike Brandes aced both ends of th e 250cc Intermediate class and split wi ns with T yler H u mmel in the l25 cc Intermediate division. Danny Nelson took a pair of threes for third in the 125s with joe Lawwill fourth and j immy Mechen fifth . Tony Aranda aced both mOlOS of the first division of 80cc Beginners with flat tracker Dan Martin second with a 2-3 over Kevin Eakin 's pair of fours .
