promise he'd shown
for so long, decimating
the field at the second
Jerez Grand Prix of
the year. It was a
processional race for
the intermediate class,
as round-one winner
Luca Marini came home
second and Marco
Bezzecchi a career-
best third. Tetsuta
Nagashima leads the
series with 50 points
over Bastianini at 48
and Marini third at 45.
Joe Roberts (16) aboard the American Racing
Kalex continued to struggle at Jerez, the
Californian finishing 17th. Roberts will be
happy to leave Jerez and head to his favorite
European track of Brno in the Czech Republic,
the scene of his Moto2 debut back in 2017.
