Road racing on the streets of Miami was featured on the cover of Cycle
News 30 years ago. The inaugural Miami GP was round five of the AMA
National Superbike Series and Team Muzzy Kawasaki's Doug Chandler
took the win... Jeff Stanton (250cc) and Guy Cooper (125cc) shared
National Motocross wins at Southwick... We revealed the 1991 YZ125 and
250 motocrossers, and WR250Z off-roader from Yamaha... Team Suzuki
won the Nelson Ledges 24-Hour
road race... John Myers defeated
Dave Schultz in the NHRA Pro
Stock final at Englishtown.

We featured reviews on the 2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200S and the
French-made Voxan Café Racer and took a close-up look at Troy
Corser's Aprilia Superbike. All were pictured on the cover of Cycle
News 20 years ago... Ricky Carmichael dominated the 250cc
National Motocross at Kenworthy's Motocross Park in Troy, Ohio.
Ohio's own Brock Sellards won the 125cc class... Alex Barros won
the German Grand Prix at Sachsenring... Mike Hacker won his first
AMA Grand National at the Charlotte Half Mile.
