Preserving some of that history is
wha t made T aylor decide to ru n the
race in th e first place.
" I' ve been comin g here sin ce I was
kid a nd wanted to con tribu te something to the raceway," he says.
c "T h is facility is so big that we can
ru n a good GP track ," said Lack ey.
" It took 60 hours of preparation , but
I think we built a safe, fun track. The
w..I!ole purpose of the event is to have
'! good time."
