M , SEPT. 30 Riders from six states co nve rg ed o n th e Cent ra l Mississippi Motocross Associati on 's tra ck in Pearl , to compete for th e title of T riStal Ch ampion . Arkansas. Louisia na and Mi~siss ippi were heavily repr esen ted as well as T exas, T ennessee and Mi SSOU ri , with over 120 riders co mpe ting in 18 classes, All three Sen io r classes pr ovid ed clo se, heated racing and in (he 80cc Senior clas s , T eam Green's Kevin Windham sho wed th e crowd the speed necessary to compete on th e National level. I n the 125cc Inte r medi a te class, Br et Beaucha m p p ut togethe r a per fect 1·1 score to lak e the o vera ll VICtory. In mo te o ne, Jason n Side s tim ed the drop of the !rdte a nd too k th e lead com ing out of the muddy first turn. Tucked in beh in d Sides was David Burnett foll owed by Beauc hamp. Burnett, Clawitter and Borgfie ld follo wed to the finish li ne. In moto two ; Beauc hamp too k the lead 0 [[ the Tine and never looked back, clai ming a wire -to ·w in· vi crary . Ove rby had to work hi s way _through the pack after goi ng to the ground on lap two . He was fina lly ab le to - claim third position at the finish. Beauchamp . took the o vera ll victory followed by Overby " in seco nd with a 2-3 score. Craft claimed third. Sides was in fourth , followed by Burnett, Clawitter a nd Borgfield. The Expert clas ses were '3 on e· man show with Chad Montero win ning both the 125a nd 250ec classes.
