H onda-mounted Low ell Moural, jr. used
flawl ess starts and aggressive ridi ng to take
hom e the overa ll victory in th e Exper t!
Intermediate class in Friday ni gh t mot ocross

As the ga te dropped to start the night's
raci ng , Lowell Mouralc j r, too k the holesho t

Damn KiumiIler, a nd T im Nobles. With each
lap, Mou ral jr. added to h is lead until he had
a full stra ightaway on the rest of the field.
H is p ur su ers rem a in ed tightly b unche d
througho u t the race. Kitzmiller a ttempted to
di ve under Moural Sr. in the high-b a nked turn
after th e fin ish lin e each lap, but each tim e,
Moural was able to ho ld Kitzmil ler off. Then ,
on the last lap, as the two riders ap p roac hed
the fin ish , Kitzm iller made a desperation
move: He stuffed it ins ide Mou ral Sr. in the
last turn and sto le second by a wh eel a t th e

In the second moro , Mouraljr. aga in took
the ho leshot followed by Mo ura l Sr., Kitzmil ler, and j oh n Neary . By the third lap ,
Mouraljr. had a lread y built an extensive lead.
Mo ura ) Sr. , however. was co m ing under
pressure from Kitzm iller. As the duo ente red

too k second. Meanwh ile, Nob les had passed
hi s war to fourth an d was now pressuring
Moura Sr. for th ird. On th e next lap,
Kiumiller blew over one o f the high-banked

Sr. back to second and Nobles to third. Nobl es
quickl y closed the gap between himself and
Mou ral Sr. and looked ready to make a move
when he endoed over one of the tabl etops in
the back sectio n. Although Nobl es h it the
grou nd hard with his bike landing on top
of him an d then cart-whee ling dow n the track,
he was soo n back o n his feet wi th no apparent
injuries. This ga ve Moura) Sr. some brea thing
room an d mo ved Brandon Will iams to third.
At the finis h lin e, it was Mou ral j r. rakin g
