Americans Kelly Moran (2) and Ronnie Correy (1) chase Australian Todd Wiltshire and Swede Jimmy Nilsen. Hans Nielsen and Jan Pedersen gave Denmark its sixth consecutive World Pairs Speedway titl e by finishing 1-2 in the final and deciding race. England's Kelvin Tatum and New Zealander Dave Bargh chase Correy through a turn. Correy won three of his races and scored a total of 15 points. Correy leads Mi tch Shirra of New Zealand and Swedish riders Per Jonsson and Jimmy Nilsen. Americans Correy and Moran fin ished sixth overall with 28 points. "T he main probl em was th at we did not ha ve the opportunity to practice togethe r, or even have a team ta lk," said a di sappointed Correy. " We were sup po sed to ride as partners but instead we were a couple of individuals; Kell y just did his own thing."
