Perry and Balas finished in the same positions
they earned off 'he starting line.

winner 01 the day as he smoked tfie competition in th e Plus 25 and l25cc B classes.

with Len ny McBride a nd Bur ge occupying the

one. 'Tuff followed into second but, into
circuit lour, Lenny, hol ding a good lead,
experienced engine problems a nd Tull passed
him o n the front straight lor the lead and th e
checkered Ilag.
'The Scra tch ma in was developing to be a
repeat per forma nce, Le n ny McBnde sat o n th e
pol e position wi th Tull in two, and Burge
and John Lewis ga ting lrom three and lou r.
Off the sta r t Len ny beat the field

with Tuff a hall bik e leng th behind, and
co ming 011 turn lour Lenny's engine began
fa hering and T ull cru ised into first o n the
lro nt straight at the end 01 lap one. Burge
and Le wis a lso wen t by Len ny for secon d and
thi rd but 'Tull by ' hen had ga ined a co mma ndin g lead a nd too k hi s second victo ry 01 the

Champine had moved six th by usin g a hig h,
loo se line. H ulf went dow n a' th e end 01 the
back straight o n lap lou r, bringin g o u t the
red lIag. Ha rt went to the fro n t 01 th e singleliIe restart a nd kept th e lead. Cha mpin e rook
over th e second spot, but co u ld n 't pass th e
cra fty Hart, who co ntro lled the groove. Beyer
took over second o n th e eighth lap to set the
linishing orde r.
