Perri s Raceway ow ner Goa t Breker held o ff a hard-ch arging Will ie Musgrave in the first leg. then pow ered past Gary J on es in the second leg 10 cli nch th e 1990 TT Scrambles Championship. III Su nday's MX even t, it was a battle to the fin ish between Greg Ziu erkopf and Ty Davis. Ziuerkopf ho leshot bo th mows wiih Ty Davis close and pursuing. In the final moto, Ziu erkopf and Davis excha nged the lead six times with the race coming down 10 a nai l-biting finish. Both riders raced side-by-side over the finis h line. with Ziuerkopf laking the win and his second-straight Four Strok e World Ch ampionship. Saturday Night TT Scrambles Riding a specia lly-p repa red White Bros. KT M. Goat Breker grabbed the lead of the first Open 'Pro TT rnot o. Breker quick ly opened up a five-second lead wh ich he maintained to the close of the mota. Willy Mu sgrave rode very smoothly in the second position and began chipping away at Breker 's lead during the fina l laps. Gary Jones held off Ty Davis and Ran d y Rod riquez for the duration of the mo to. J on es powered in fro nt to start the second mot o, with Breker a nd Don G riewe catching lip m id way through the mota 10 set the stag e for a terrific tu g-of-war. Brek er made · hi s move dur ing the fin al few laps and left J ones behind in second. G riewe a nd Rodriquez followed. wh ile Musgrave su ffered visio n problems and Davis fought an ill -handling. under-powered machine. Tom White was a tough competitor, winning both the O ld Timer Expert and 500cc Amateur classes. White traded wi ns wit h Barr y ' H igg ins in the Old T imer Experts. Vic Hannah rode two consistent races to tak e th ird away from Bill Manley and Bill Rea ms. White followed J eff Moo re a nd Steve Cook in leg one of the 500cc Amate ur class. The second leg appeared to be a repeat of the first, until on th e last lap Moore tried a desperation pass on Cook. Moo re entered the turn befo re the checkers wid e-open . sla mmi ng int o Cook a nd kn ockin g him o ff th e track, wh ile Moore himself went over the bars leaving the overa ll win to White. , Don ald Upton rode a 1981 Hon da XR250 to the overall win in th e 250(c Amat eur race. Upton o u t-rode th e entire field in th e first leg, but the second leg was a d ifferent story as U p ton had b dea l wit h the pressu re o f SCOll Sease T he two riders were close most of the race, with Upton event ually ta king ttie overa ll win. I Eric Torkko took the overall win il the Open Ama teur race after swappirg victories with J eff Moore. Torkko ph in an impressive performance in the secon d 'leg , fini shing first in hi s class a nd beat ing a ll but thr ee o f the Pro ride rs.
