Shallow sails at Dade City MX By Scott Shepherd DADE CITY, FL, MAR. 17 Honda rider Wesley Shallow took his SNR Racing-powered CR250 to a Senior class win during the second round 01 th e \990 Dade Ci ty Season Points Championship Series. Nearly 200 riders competed in a steady drizzle 01 rain. In th e lirst moto Shallow shot 011 th e ga te w ith Suzuki rider Johnathan Heid enthal in hot pursuit as SNR Racing's Richard Lee held th ird aboard his Honda. At th e hallway point Shallow began to put some distance o n Heidenthal while Lee, still in third, was losing the lead ers. H eidenthal started clo se in o n Shallow and the two riders were dicing o n th e la st lap when Heid enthal lost it o n a high banked berm 50 yards belor e th e chec kered flag . Shall ow aga in led th e seven sen iors down the front stra ig ht in mot a two. o nly th is tim e Lee was in th e second positi on. Heid enthal tried to pa ss Lee ear ly but slammed th e ground agai n and pulled 011 th e tra ck lor a DNF. Shall ow motored to an easy win with Lee in second. Kelly Moran ended up tied with Schwartz with 14 points after the preliminary rounds were completed. Schwartz Opted lor the pole in the main with Moran in gate two .
