Waddington and Bryan Em ig wer e back in the pa ck after sufleri ng bad sta ns. Gardard soo n moved to th e front, as did Emig and Waddington . Waddington and Emig dra g raced down a lo ng suaight with Emi g braking early, a nd Waddington ma king the pa ss. Waddington moved ra p id ly towar ds Ga rdard but fell in a tight tum. Gardard won by 20 seco nds at ,he finish , but never officia lly signed up and the win was give n to Wad d in g ton .
