At the ha lfway poi n t Ikeda used a n outside ber m to power aro und Sp ri nger for the lead. O n the next lap Ko pasz pushed Spring er ba ck o ne more p lace to th ird and set h is sigh ts o n Ikeda. Ikeda held o n for the fi rst rno to wi n und er pressure fro m Ko pasz. Sp ringer had ( 0 sett le for thi rd ah ead o f Bealer. Gary Williso n . Bealer , Ikeda and Joh n Ch uri lla a ll fo llo wed Sp ri nger by the end o f the first la p o f rno to two.
