Honda and Kawasaki are backing the GFI Winter Series w ith substantial contingencies. Kawasaki is offering $S7.600 in Team Green Bucks to amateurs and $40.S00 in cash to pros. while Honda will offer $70.000 in Hon daline gift certificates to '89 and '90 CR riders in the top three. with the showdown rounds payi ng slight ly higher. A fu ll set of Hondaline motocross gear will be awarded to Honda riders who take class championships at the end of the showdown. Racers who purchase Hondas before December 31 will also be eligible for paid entry to the GFI Winter Series.
