Jon Ro berts of Team Toomer fame rode his Yamaha FZR600 to vic tory in the Endurance Three class a nd the Gra nd Prix Three class. Rick Herndon gathered up top rider ho nor s in the Class Five End ura nce feature and th e Mod ified Five class. TI,e day 's racing sta rted with the combined End ura nce One, Two and T h ree classes. Novice rider Todd Keesee, a known hole- ' shot a rtist, powered his Honda CBR600 the Iron t of the Mod ified Three class and never loo ked back as he went wire-to-wire with a very strong field o f rid ers behind him. Expert rider Tom Francis. who work ed his wa y thr ough th e field. closed the ga p twi ce o n Keesee, but ran o ut of tim e to mak e a serious chan ge.
