Not " M ister Forbes" but rather " Malcolm !" was the shout. " Malcolm, over here!" " Malcolm , can we have a pictu rel!" " Malcolm , ho w are you?!" Yes, th ere he was! In person, walking throug h th e charity ride's motorcycle maze , th ose thousands of good riders and . th eir gleaming mach ines. H is nam e blazin g ahead like a bi ke on th e gas. On foot in th e crowd, here was the man himself in his ridin g clothes Capitalist Tools M.C . stitched across his back. And w hat his presence did was genuine magic, bringing us yet closer together, lik e a kind of newfound metaphysical glue. H ere was a un iversal ido l, th is world-class en trep rene ur, smac k in our m idst. Sudden ly an actuality w ith h is hand shak ing ours . It was like a fictional hero had tak en on life. Or a movie's star had stepped from the screen . Th e effe ct was extraordinary, thoroug hl y felt by all. H e in his own im medi ate way confirmed that Dream s are R eal. Right here was today's R enaissance Man you cou ld touch and talk to. A big guy on our side. And it m ade me th ink jus t how robust an d visceral our m ot orcycle roots really are. H ow our own free spirit has endured - even grouml - despite all the obstacles cast by modern times; And how we share th at close brot her-asis te rhood t hat k eep s us fo rever u nique! Yes! After th e mass run to Calam igo s Ranch, follow ing Mal colm through the crowd was seeing the whol e th ing wo rk to benefi t our M u scu la r Dystr oph y Asso ciat ion and th e people it helps. H arleyDavidson of Glendale's L ove R ide had beco m e a Soul-&-Humani ty record breaker. Over half a m ill ion dollars raised in a single day!
