. Cracchiolo, who led thefirst lap, was, . able to hold on to third pos ition - 250cc B a nd fin ish in the top 20 in spite of losin g first and second gear on the second lap . Fourth place 250cc , B R icky Horton also finished in the top 20. The 125cc B winner , KTM mounted, Ken O lsen, was th e only one in his class to go five laps a nd finish in the top 20. Robert McWhorter and Matt J a mieson , on a pair of KTMs, battled for second p lace in the 125cc B race, with McWhorter taking the trophy. Ka wasa ki- m ou nted Steve Crews overcame early rear brake problems and went five lap s to take the 200cc B win , while Randy Jones held off Dave Ryan's charge from an eighthpl ace start to hold on to second. Chad Busenbark was Open B wi nner on a Yamaha followed by Jay Will iams, who was also contending with rear brake fai lure. Honda-moun ted Eddie LaChance took the Fo ur-Stroke B win followed by Mike Heavens and Cornell Porter. Bill Du ffn er en joyed the course, especially the tight woods sections and had no problem ta king th e Senior B win. Spencer Balentine kept his Yamaha in front of Ken Powell 's ATK to hold on to second place Senior B. Janson Dukes worked his way up from fourth position and took th e lead in the Super Senior. B class away from James Bentley on the last lap . The Mini class ra ce was held earlier in the da y on a separate 5.5mi le cour se. Shawn T aylor took the hol esh ot o n hi s Honda a nd increased his lead every lap to tak e th e win . in th e o ne hour even t. The Vintage race, which was run on the sa me 5.5-mi le course, was a " Bu ll Sweep " when Bultaco riders Llo yd St ah lman a nd Bob J ones finish ed first an d second in th e one hour even t.
