Jea n-Michel Bayle (111) wa.s in contention for the 500cc class w in in both motos, but settled for 2-2 finishes and second overall. New England 's JoJo Keller (46) leads Jason Buttle (79) and Mike Fisher in the second 500cc moto. Keller and Fisher battled for eighth. W inner Bradshaw (4 5) congratulates runner-up Matiasevich after they had a close battle fo r the lead late in the second 125cc class moto. 10 ute behind in sixth, whi le Andrews fell back to ninth behind Lamson a nd Mike Fisher. Micky Dymond, who said he rode " mellow" in h is first race since injuring his feet in early Au gu st, completed th e top 10. Lech ien on ly enjoyed the lead for th ree laps th is time when he began to slow . T he left rear wheel bearing went away and as Lech ien tried to continue the hub broke also. " I didn 't try to catch Stanton ," Bayle said. ''I'll leave th e cha mpionshi p clear for him a n d the Americans.". " I knew he was back there ," sai d Sta nton. " He wasn't p ushing me, so I just did whatever it took. I wanted and needed to win." J ohnson was ridi ng better th e secon d half of the mo to and began to catch Ward , but Ward ga ve up third withou t a battle when he went over a berm a t the bo ttom of a dow nhi ll. J ohnson, however, was frustrated with his performa nce as he conti nues to stru~gle to overcome a serious wris t injury suffered last March and a chest injury suffered at the openi ng 500cc ro und in August. ''I'm not ridi ng as fast or aggressivelyas I should be," J ohnso n said. " It's easy to reach top 10 speed, bu t much harder to ge t back to th e win ner's circle. I'm no t concentra ting enough on wha t I' m doing. All I can do is keep working. " Ward was fourth follo wed by Dubach , who spent the ent ire race a lo ne behind th e lea d bunch.
