I Ryan Carlisle was back on his Kawasaki KX I25 and preceded lo wrap up th e I25cc Pro class win a t L.A. County Ra ceway. Ca rli sle gra bbed the hol esh ot in the first moto of the 125cc Pro/In term edi ate moto and led for o ne lap before Phil Lawren ce flew by o ver th e tab letop jum p. Lawren ce ex tended hi s lead a nd took the win o ver Ca rl isle. In th e second rnoto, in ter media te Dana Wiggins beat Ca rl isle off th e lin e, while La wrence wa s ham pered by a mi dpa ck sta n. H ow ever , a pi le-u p occ u rred wh ich a lso claim ed Lawren ce, leaving him without any cha nce of ca tch ing Carlisle. T he lead er develo ped a co m for table ad van ta ge after pa ssin g Wigg ins, still having p lenty o f tim e to spare wh en he cra shed lat e in the mot a . ) Wiggins went o n to ta ke the overall victory in the 125cc Intermedi at e class over Mickell Brix and Mik e Bulley. Abou t 100 yards from th e sta rt, Le h ma n went down, tak ing Truch in ski with h im . La wrence sa iled o n for th e win a nd Truch ins ki go t up first to fin ish seco nd with Lehman third.
