Kawasaki opened the first round of the 1989 AMA Open
Class National Championship :MX Series with a pair ofaces- Jeff
Ward and Ron Lechien.And the Team Kawasaki hands were good
enough to leave their Millville, MN. competition empty-handed.
In fact, Ward was perfect, winning both motos and the
overall. Lechien tooksecond twice, including a brilliant first moto performance,when he came ' II
