Oklah oman Dave Bol en reall y pou nded the Intermediat e class with jus t rune points o n his Beta . The next three rider s were very close. La st month 's winner Jim Westcott was just one dab sho rt, scori ng 21 points for fourth overa ll. Andr e Laporte a nd Steve Fuj an both scor ed 20 po ints but Andre had 12 cleans to Steve's nine cleans. Andre wa s second pl ace overa ll and Steve was th ird. The Expe rt class win was tak en by Oklaho man Paul Bo len with 12 points. Kans an Mack Burnett rode hi s Yama ha to seco nd pl ace with 16 points. Rich Allman cruised aro u nd in third place. Brow n had gone do wn for a soi l sam p le o n the opening la p , but he got u p a nd gave chase beh in d Pa tterso n.
