J immy Gaddis held fourth for so me tim e until being passed by Mike LaRocco, while Mat iasevich Iell ear ly in the race a nd even tua lly fini sh ed 17th bu t sti l1 gathered enough poi nts to lock up the title over La Rocco . " I rode 50-60% because I'v e been sick since last week. I tri ed to stay wi th Kiedrowski , but I made a couple of mista kes. I wa nted to win, but didn 't have th e energy. " " I di d wh at I had to do, but co uldn' t get eno ugh riders between us," said Kiedrowski . "There was no way I was go ing to pass Kiedr owski ," said Ward.
