Bimson has reportedly sold his publishing firm and California Rider is no longer being published. According to Rider publisher Joseph McNeill, Jr., Trailer Life's attorneys sent cease and desist letters to Bimson and they placed approximately 26 phone calls to him, all without any response. McNeill said that he "accidently" got Bimson on the phone, after the many attempts to do so, and suggested that Bimson change the name of the newsletter to "California Riding."
