(J.'C That I sent out another written piece, and somehow went right along with it. The Boon of The Eighties! - The Almighty Fax!! What did writers ever do without it? My first scribbled lines must have gone by telegraph, or was it carrier pigeon? Smoke signals?! Naw, no way! I've been around a while, sure - but! And now I've got m)l very own Facsimile Machine (to go with this brand new ZX-7). Hey! The one sends me straight to the twisties. The key word in that upscale phrase being PROGRAMMABLE. To program a job. Accomplish a mission. To arrive at a designated spot in time and space. And this programmer's trick is to fax myself to - to any race venue in the whole wide world. Zap! Bingo! What about Sunday's GP at Jerez? And then Misano? Hockenheim? Salzburg? Piece 0' cake! I'll just glimpse the Calendar pages of this here Cycle News and go wherever I wish. Superbikes in Rio? Hit the keypad! My fax'll get me there faster than you can spell B-r-a-z-i-l. My document length has Exceeded Maxim um Limit? Memory is Full? How can it be?! This dream's supposed to work without a catch! And you're saying - what? - Poor Received Image Quality?! Roll Empty?! Get me outta here! Take me back to when writers' hardware was something you sharpened with a pocketknife, and software was made. of flannel.
