Team Yamaha's Micky Dymond w ill be o ut of action for up to s ix weeks after breaking a bone in his right hand at the San Diego Supercross. February, 11 . According to Yamaha's Willie Amarad io , "Micky shattered the inde x finger just behind the bottom knuckle." Kyle Lewis, another Team Yamaha rider, should return to action at the opening round of the National Championship 125/ 250cc MX Series in Gainesville, Florida ,' March 5. Lewis , who'll ride th e 125cc Nation als, cracked his tailbone at the Seattle Supercross, February 4. Team Honda's George Holland will make his first racing appearance in 1989 at the Ga inesville National. "I was having shoulder problems all last year, so I had arthroscop ic su rgery la t e last November to fix it," said Holland. " I didn't have enough time to heal and I tried riding after the surgery, but the shoulder just wasn't s t ro ng enough . Now I'm just letting it get strong and I should be ready for Gainesville." Holland wi ll defend his championsflip title in the 125cc class. Dolph Lundgren, who you might remember as the Russian boxer in the movie Rocky IV, will star in The Punisher, a film set for national release in oJuly. The Punisher is based on the Marvel comic character. According to the film's publicist. Lundgren rides a HarleyDavidson in the film which was shot on location in Australia. "Lundgren chose to do his own rid ing stunts, instead of using stuntmen. In one scene, he rides his Harley-Davidson in the underground city sewers through precarious circular tunnels and pipes. In another, he jumps from a speeding bus onto the bike. The Harley -Davidson used in the film was custom made for Lundgren, a chopped down, lo nge r, heavier and wider version than the standard American Harleys to fit The Pun isher's virile image," said Diane Fung of Rogers & Cowan, Inc . 50 The opening three rounds of the ' WERA EBC National" Endurance Road Race Series will offer Friday . practice sessions. The practice sessions will be ope n to sprint and endurance riders who hold a com petition racing license. The American Motorcycle Institute (AMI) of Daytona Beach, Florida, will once again be opening up its shop to racers after Daytona International Speedway closes in the evenings during Camel Motorcycle Week.
