And, pondering this, I m used to myself - Just w hat'n th e world might be left to say? Plenty. For openers, That m otorcycles ain 't machines. And neuer were. They're as metaphysical as our dream s. Th ey are w ishes and hopes and visions we ride. Yeah! Put away th e technical no w and let's hear it fo r the visceral! R ide for th e ride of Th e R ide! And for your very own st yle and reason. Seek perfection without forb idding it. Th e Inner is what coun ts here, not the outer. Piston and crank and gear and wheel are only momentary in this exten ded motorcycle theater of ours. It 's the mind stuff that's so mystic and timeless, our own sort of radioa ctivity w ith a ha lf-life of [oreuer. M y gloved hands on th e Ultra Classic, I am thin king of th is. But th e feel of this motor -p arting the wind is song enoug h; this movable canvas on all my sides bett er than th e m ovies' best euer.
