I've always wanted to do cars , so if I don 't get a decent"(bike) ride for 'S9, I'll go car racing. If th ere' s not some new pl ateau to reach , there's no sen se doing it. " Quarterley makes it clear that he's not interested in getting ou t of motorcycle racing just yet. But he doesn 't want to become stagnant either. " If I'm not going to better m y career, I don't want to play," he says. "I just want to go racing. I'm grateful to Peterson Machine and the bo ys, Warren E. Collins, Brockton Cycle Center and to my dad for making it all possible. I eat, live and breathe racing - period. I have no other interests. I raced all season and now that it's over I'm going car racing, four-wheeling, dirt riding or whatever I can d o." t .Da le QuarterIey's cha rac ter is revea led with three distinctive trademarks. The flame-garnished helmet revea ls his devi l-may-care persistance, the "I14-ley" name sti tche d to his lea thers reveals his witty persona lity, and his "1£ it ain't got a motor, I don't do it " motto revea ls his true passion.
