Over the fina l two laps, Reicher t held Diem o ff to win by less than a leng th. Ch asin g h im th e closest and hardest was early leader And y T resser whil e Dan McDonnell trail ed in third. At the start o f the even t a th ree rider, first co rner p ileup incl uded T resser, Dave Sa nche z and Ma rk Corsetti . A restart resu lted i n a nother red flag as two more riders tan g led a nd wen t down. This tim e it was Cory Perra u lt an d Fra n k Sa nchez. T he th ird start , a two row arrangem en t. work ed and the race was ho t. T resser broke o u t earl y but was p icked up by the McDonnell brothers. After several laps o f p ressuring Tresser Bob McDonnell was ab le to get hy. Jeff Gab hart had a perfect even in g in hi s 60,·c a nd 80cc ap peara nces. Gab hart didn 't w in a heat race bu t d id hi s best in th e fina ls. H ea t race ac tio n for the 60cc Ju ni o rs was a win for J oh nny Mur phree a nd the win ner of the hea t for BO Juniors wa s Ro bert Steven son ec o n a Ya ma ha.
