1989 International Bicycle and Motorcycle
Exhibition in Cologne, West Germany.
Exhibitors included all of the major
manufacturers, aftermarket companies
and apparel firms.

premier at Cologne and features a 1000cc,
four-valve per cylinder engine and BMW's
Paralever system to prevent shaft-induced
rise and fall of the rear suspension.
(Below) Suzuki unveiled several new models.
including the GSX750 Katana featuring
Suzuki's Advanced Cooling System on the
dual-overhead cam. four-valve per cylinder
motor.
(Left) Kawasaki claims that it brings the track to the street with the
ZXR750. which will arrive in the U.S. in March. quite possiblyunder a
different name. The ZXR has an all-new, 748cc DOHC in-line four
engine cradled in an aluminum E-box frame. Vents in the front of the
fairing route air onto the engine to help keep temperatures down.
