Juniors The Junior final was th e last race of the day. Originall y set for 10 laps, onl y fiv e were complet ed wh en Michael Stouffer cras hed exiting turn two and su ffered a suspected broken leg. The race was th en ca lled off. Kevin Ath erton won both the fin al a nd hi s heat race. (Sto uffer won th e o ther heat race). Pro-Am Texan Mike H al e wo n the eightlap Pro -Am fina l, af ter a battle with Audi e Huff Jr. After winning his heat race, H al e led th e fin al at th e star t of th e second lap with Huff (also a heat winri er) close beh ind. By th e start of. the last lap, Hale - using Carr's Mik e Camphousetuned 600 - had a 5.71-second lead whi ch h e n ev er relinqui shed .
