Yamamoto narrowl y edged H en ricksen out of th e lead a t th e start of the second heat while Carmichael held third over Ogi, Brock Roberts, Nakash ima a n d Kindhan. H enricksen cha rged after Yamam oto, but hi s dr ive ended near th e end of th e second lap wh en he crashed heavil y. Ogi m oved up to secon d whil e Carmichael mai ntained th ird over Nak ashima a nd Roberts . On lap four Rober ts fell , and two laps later Nakashima moved b y Carmichael. As Yamamoto pulled out a comfortable lead to th e finish , Ogi got caugh t beh ind a lapper on th e last lap a nd wh en he tri ed to get by, he slid and it was just enough for Nakashima to scoot by and steal the runner-up spot in the heat and, in th e overall standings. Ogi had a close race with Trager in th e Stock Expert class. H enricksen grabbed the holeshot but crashed in the first turn, allowing T rager to take first followed by Carmichael, Yamaha's Willie Amaradio and Ogi. O gi q uickly moved up, first stuffing Amaradio then doing the same to Carmichael. Trager came under fire from Ogi, but he held him off for several laps before Ogi dropped back slightly. Ogi charged back, though, and tried to set Trager up with an inside pass , but clipped a hay bale and fell . Ogi had eno ugh distance on Carmichael, who had Henricksen on his tail, to maintain second. Although Ogi closed in on th e leader once again, Trager held him off to take the win while H enricksen even tua lly passed Carmichael to finish third. Jim Ruiz was leading Ri chard Garr ison a nd John Park in th e Sto ck Begi nner class until he fell just over halfway into the 1O-lap main. Garrison took over and a lap lat er Ruiz a nd Park bo th went do wn as Ruiz tr i ed 10 ch a rge back. G a rr ison cruised o n to th e win while Ruiz .moved back into second just ahead of John Ewing. Chris T aylor led from stan to finish to easily win th e Amat eur Stock class while Tony Fleming cruised th e en tire distance in second with Bryan Smith in third. The real race was for fourth between T erry Carter and Terry Herink. The two riders battled back and forth until H erink finally gained th e position. Carter fell a lap later and Ard en Frieson moved by to claim fifth. • Results WMN: I . oanielle Mabey; 2.
