just ran my own race. The bike was so
phenomenal; we made a few clicks just
before the race and it paid off huge for
us." A er Saturday night's win, Mees
said, "What an amazing night. We
struggled in the semi; we gambled with
the setup and just went backwards.
Kenny Tolbert and Bubba Bentkey
worked their magic for the main, and
the motorcycle hooked up so good off
the corners thanks to Jimmy Wood
with Ohlins Suspension. Those guys got
me so hooked for the en re weekend,
and I came in so hungry."

na onal, and last night we didn't even
qualify for the main event," Dallas
Daniels said a er Saturday's win. "It's
just awesome to have this great team
behind me. We've got our work cut out
for us now, but we're going to make a
fight for this championship—I think we
showed that tonight. I'm just pumped."

in America on Friday after he out
dueled veterans Chad Cose (Wally
Brown Racing/Suzuki Motor of
America, Suzuki RMZ 450) and
Henry Wiles (RMR/Honda, Honda
CRF 450R) for the well-deserved
win. "I don't think I could have
got any better of a start to the
year than this," Whale said. "I'm
pumped—I can't believe it. I had a
bit of an ordinary start and came
from about fourth or fifth. It felt like
that race went forever! I could just
The second day proved to be a
little less dramatic as Mees moved
from fourth to pass Briar Bau-
man, Robinson and Halbert by lap
eight and cruised to the win. This
race lasted 38 laps with Robinson
replacing Halbert on the podium.
