FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 1 / JULY 17-19, 2020
CIRCUITO DE JEREZ – ÁNGEL NIETO / JEREZ, SPAIN
P62
(Above) This is the last corner of the Moto3 race, as John McPhee (17) goes for the desperate lunge up the inside of
Tony Arbolino (14), with Albert Arenas (75), Ai Agura (79) and Celestino Vietti (13) intently watching on. McPhee ran in
too hot and got pushed wide by Arbolino, who, in turn, was pushed wide by Vietti. The result was Arbolino hit McPhee,
sending the Scotsman careering through the gravel trap. Vietti lost drive onto the straight, as did Arbolino, with Arenas
perfectly placed to pick up the pieces and take the race win with Ogura coming home in second and Arbolino third.
