Daily sho wed no mercy en route to posting impressive I-I performances in th e 125cc Intermediate con test s. Daily 's closest co m pe tition cam e from Brett DeVries, a boar d a Honda, and Ed j ensen , wh o follow ed Dail y across th e lin e in both mo tos to fin ish second and third respectively. Dail y cam e back in th e 250cc Intermediate class to put a stranglehold o n th e co m p eti tio n . Scott Bergren took second to Dai ly in th e firs tmoto and after posting a secondmo to fourth , laid a claim o n seco nd overall. T h ird overall went the way of Ron Westlake with 4-3 fin ishes. Graves' two-class tri um ph didn 't com e easi ly as Scott Tyler, winner of th e recent Seattle ro u nd of -the Mickey Thompson Grand Prix's 250cc U ltracross, and Grayson Hart were on hand. But Graves proved he is a rider to be reckoned wi th as he took th e first 250cc Pro moto by storm while Hart a nd T yler finished second and third at th e finish. Graves notched the overall win as well as the accompanying top cash payoff aft er piloting his Roseburg Honda-sponsored CR to . second behind Tyler in moto two . Tyler netted second overall and Hart's (23) score was third. Graves also found his way to th e top of the heap in the I25cc Pro class. Tyler was again th e only rider threatening to take the overall win away from Graves, but Graves was too much and logged a moto one win while Tyler, Don Besceglia, Darren Rogers and Yamaha rider ' David Browning filled the top five at mote's end. T yler again pushed Graves to the finish in th e second moto but Graves proved his 250cc rides were no fluke and held off Tyler's last-ditch efforts to net overall money. Tyler, Bisceglia, Rogers and Browning finished 2-5 and filled the top five overall. One of the day 's largest fields of riders assembled for a huge 30-40 clas s swapfest, which gated junior, Intermediate and Pro riders in three waves. Honda-mounted Mike Crader led the way to the checkered flag by virtue of 2-2 performances in the Pro portion with first moto winner jim Lamkin taking home second overall and moto two winner Mitch Kirkpatrick posting 1-4 rides for th ird.
