The mini-World series has . been introduced to celebrate the launching of speedway in Britain 60 years ago and is backed by a $100,OOO-plus sponsorship from the National Coal Board. Four nations - the U.S., England, Denmark and Sweden - are taking part on a league basis with the top two teams qualifying for a final co nfro n ta tion at King's Lynn on June 26. The test matches between England and the U.S. have been canceled this year to make way for the celebration matches and the pressure is now on the Americans if they are lO qualify for ' the final stage.
