Louis ar ea for th e first time in over three years. Track owners' Marvin Utterback a nd Da le Russell welcomed over 100 riders and 600 spectators to th eir all-natural · terrain track. Pa ul Will is was a domi nant forc e in th e 125cc class, winning both m ot os on h is Honda wi th a contro lled riding style tha t a llowed h im to traverse th e fast sect ions of th e track more q u ickly than h is competitors. L uke Morgenroth, on a Kawa saki , led rnoto one briefly after WiII1s had troub le with a badly rutted creek crossing, but the Honda rider ca m e back to pass both Morgenroth a nd Shawn Sieggs on the last la p to take th e win. Domke SAN ANTONIO , TX, MAR . 26 William , McDonald defended an early lead and took his class to th e first mee t of a five-race Cha llenge of Cha mpio ns Series, winni ng first p lace in the 125cc Open class at Goodtimes Motorsports Park. He was giv en to ugh competition by fellow Honda rid ers Marcos Pep p er and Jason Krem p in. Krempi n h ad a ba d start which pu t hi m far behind the leaders , but managed to come back fro m a sixth p lace to a third-pl ace fin ish. In the 250cc Open class, Kevin Horton captu red an ea rly lead and kep t it. H ort on p iloted a Honda in th is race and stayed a head of two Kawasaki ri ders, Earl In gram a nd J amie Garner. All of th ese h ave been regular riders a t Goodtirnes Motorsport' Park, and they took advantage of trac k knowledge a nd experience to earn th ei r places. T he first qua lifier was a one-mota ra ce eve n t with a pre lim inary position-qualifier h ea t h eld ea rl ier in th e evening.
